did i ever tell you that clowns make me really uncomortable? to the point of HYSTERICS? well so does santa.
it's a good thing there aren't any easter bunnies running around.

last night was definitely interesting. i was sooo tired after leaving work an hour late - as usual - and then i went by my old shop and saw ruth leaving from her last day! i got a hug and her number and hopefully i will get to see her some day again : ( she is precious.
then i went to the ugliest party i have ever been to at usc. i didn't know ANYONE there accept who i came with and shantay (this guy i met last weekend at the same complex). so to entertain our crew, i was sent around to the drunk men we didn't know and hopefully will never see again (men? i meant BOYS) and told them that i was carrying their child. then i asked what they wanted to do about it. well i did this once and the guy went along with it a little too well so i decided i was not going to do it anymore.
he even asked me what the name would be.
i think he was about to take me home.
hmm
then we went to denny's and i fell asleep at the table. and i went home and realized i had lost my USC ID card.
i's screwed yo.

the princess bride is on (again)! but i have to forge on through eel-infested waters to get to work!

so here i am AGAIN on SHANE's beautiful new sony vaio. grr. my computer's suffering through his 4th year and behaving disagreeably. grrrrrrrrr grrrr and poor shane is having a helluva time posting his blogs.

ok well on the brighter side of the news -
i have an update on my PACKAGE notice.
it was a package. duh. hehe. FROM one beautiful sweet thoughtful boy in scotland...
and the first sight to be seen is the SCARY OLD LADY STAMP that somehow got it from there to here by royal air mail!
here we go.
item #1 - one "man in kilt w/bagpipes" shotglass, to set up next to my giganto hoffbrau haus mug
item #2 - forty-six sheets of edible paper confectionery from LOOKOLOOK candies! they are another wonderful potato product. and their site is a party! - i recommend checking out the luncheon meats. mmmm.
item #3 - one stolen ok computer - perhaps from a flatmate of mike's. but i dont know them so it's ok because it IS an import : )
item #4 - various plastic and paper bags from scottish shopping centREs, and sheets of "man in kilt w/bagpipe" wrapping paper for effect
item #5 - one plaid scarf that surely left a little orange lamb cold - but keeps me quite cozy.
item #6 - one bear with a plaid beret on his head and a pen up his ass.
item #7 - one bag of maltesers, which are whoppers with honeycomb centREs. unfortunately to meet my daily "energy" requirment i must eat 100 grams of these suckahs.
and unfortunately they are already gone as i had them for breakfast with shane and jordan. : )
item #8 - various "energy" bars. my favorite package was the double decker, complete with breakfast cereal, which asks if i am "missing something up top."
the velvety wispamint bar in a dreamy package.
item #9 - one brightly colored special snowboarder-superhero-edition box of kit kat CHUNKYs and a giant kid kat egg. it is either an early easter present or celebrating my fertility...? the cool kids on the box tell shane to "watch out!" as they race by on their boards.
item #10 - one mini bagpipe smelly thing. it brings the breath of the highlands to my underwear drawer!
item #11 - a very very precious note that made getting up after only four hours of sleep MORE than worthwhile! thank you : )

anyways i gotta get ready for work at the beverly center - but i think there should be a few parties tonight. maybe one on menlo? i cant' remember where else. hmm let you know later maybe : )

here i was - 3:30 am, stressed out with my mom and my jenky computer. trying to finish this finaid thing. and of course my voice was getting louder at times. i am about to throw my monitor through the wall. my mom is perpetually drunk - even when she hasn't been drinking - and also very repetitive and i am at my wit's ends. and THEN my roommate - who has many times woken me up without my complaining - the same one who complains if i have people over after midnight - had the NERVE to come out at that point and ask me to be quiet.
FUCK HER
so i packed up my microwave and toaster oven (i left the tv cuz i actualy watch it once a week - when it's not on her crappy asia tv channels) and they are going back to my dad's.
grrr nobody tells ME what to do in my house when i have been as considerate as possible this whole time! tiptoeing around and apologizng for any fucking little noise...

oh just wait - the new and extra-inconsiderate megan will be leaving the toilet unflushed and the dishes in the sink from now on!!!!

well my computer is running - but it's definitely on it's last legs. i even switched ethernet jacks. i think it's overheating or drunk.
so now i'm on dialup.
and believe me, i hated these online financial aid applications BEFORE my computer crashed. now they are even more draining.
traffic gets unbearable, especially the day they are do. why am i such a procrastinator?

oh my goodness. my valentine day was soo sweet and mushy. : )
i had a nice lunch with friends, and talked to mike THREE TIMES (i know - a little excessive). but the last time was to thank him for the delivery of the BEAUTIFUL huuuge vase full of flowers! i have never been the recipient of such a beautiful bouquet - ever! AND they are edible! all of my roommates are jealous and we just sit and smell the roses and carnations etc all day now. : ) well we would if we didn't have lives. i will be putting a picture up very soon. woop woop!
I LOVE YOU MIKE!!!! you are the most special person ever and the bestest valentine in the world! i wouldn't have traded you for anyone here - no way!!!!!

work sucked. i think people were single and angry. i understand. but still... don't they know i'm at the end of my rope and any day now i will be throwing coffee buckets on evil yet unsuspecting customers.

RUMMY! I'M THE PRINCESS!!! and i will take her to amoeba and aron's and tower and we will spend all of our hard earned money! yay! .. er... hehe

i was a lot more productive when i was pining for romance in solitude. i was designed to be a hopeless romantic, and i've had lots of practice. it's my life calling. people come to me to whine about being single and we eat chocolate together, and i talk about somedays and happily ever afters. i guess it's better to be safe up here than to live out real life. i have always been an impatient frenzy of excitement. i would rather blow up the outhouse with my own grenade than wait to see if the time-bomb inside will go off! i was born two weeks early, after all! no one tells me to wait! : ) grr hehe. but no really. if i had ever had to wait something out patiently and sweetly, this is it. it's time to grow some moss and smell the daisies!
in this case waiting is all i can do and maybe someday be the happiest monkey in the ghetto!

and last night right when i thought i could go to bed, i realize my car is on the wednesday side of the street. meaning i can't sleep until i have moved it to HOOVER. grr. so for breakfast i had baked lays with MEQUITE-o bbq and for lunch i wll be munching on these mike n ikes. fruity!

it also doesn't help that valentine's day is coming and this is the 5th year in a row that i DON'T have a valentine to be all romantic with. I DESERVE A CANDLELIGHT DINNER! ok i'm not gonna whine too much cuz i will be working anyways and i DO have a valentine - he just happens to be sick and in the wrong time zone.

here is what everyone has been waiting for!

ok probably not. probably nothing i say will appease the masses. so i am about to talk myself down from the ledge and you can listen in. : )

i have an appoiintment tomorrow. i am actually nervous.
reeeallly nervous.

it is worse than last time where i had this appointment cuz then i was just nervous about being "inspected" in places that are uncharted territory - and as far as i'm concerned they can stay off the map! but i kept putting it off and now something may be very wrong and i am even more nervous about the inspection + whatever is wrong may be scary....

and i have to get up at like 8:30 to go and do this thing that i don't want to do and somehow be awake for at all. maybe i will pass out and sleep through it like i always did the dentist.

anyways.
i went out with terie, shane and peter and had some yummy food at cafe 50s on santa monica. including sweet potata french fries, and a butterfinger milkshake! jordan wouldn't come because he was watching the olympics. i can't watch the olympics because people are all crying, whether they win or lose and i get all emotional. especially figure skating. that tears me up...

for those of you who don't know, i quit my job finally. on thurs. well i tried to. i gave them an ASAP letter that was to be my two week but i figure i'll be there at least two more. until i go to scotland most likely. they took my days down but my manager is distraught, he was really counting on me but i am having some sort of nervous breakdown where i get really anxious a lot and i just dreaded going out and dealing with all the physical and emotional stress of work. it's really hard for me to tell so many people what to do, expecially when i know they are working their hardest but i have such high expectations for them and especially myself. i just cant' live up to all of it right now and keep my grades up with all the other stuff going on. i will miss my people though! word!

i think after i go see mike and get to have a vacation i will be ok again, just to get away and not think about coming back to work. i will be working back at my infant daycare, for half the time i was at coffee bean, and i really missed that job! and the ladies and those kids!

Dipolieia
This was one of the few strange feasts celebrated in the honour of Zeus, in ancient Athens at Acropolis. The name Dipolieia means the feast of the city god but the common name Bufonia means The Ox-slaughter. A ritual sacrifice to Zeus (corn) is laid on his alter. Then a herd of oxen would be driven toward the alter, and one would start to eat the corn. He is the chosen ox. yay! He would then be slaughtered by a priest, who would later DENY any responsibility. "It wasn't me, it was the knife!!" The knife would then be put on trial, convicted for murder, and thrown into the sea. The skin of the ox would then be stuffed, placed back out at pasture, and they would all go off, pretending nothing had happened! supposedly this was humorous even then. But they did some weird things.... This is just one of the many fun things i learned about today in school, thanks for asking mom! : )
